Our extensive experience in the areas of SMLS, ERW, GTAW and SAW pipe combined with our in-depth local knowledge of many of the world’s foremost pipe manufacturers offers clients invaluable protection from common problems associated with tubular production, shipping and logistics.
Resident inspection teams are available to verify compliance to all customer and controlling specification requirements. Procedures, equipment and personnel qualifications/certifications are verified for compliance as are manufacturing and inspection processes performed during the various stages of production and test. Inspection teams vary in size and are normally lead by a designated supervisor.
Comprehensive, reliable electronic traceability systems have been developed and deployed to ensure critical data and information is maintained from steel production through pipe manufacture, coating, testing and delivery. To provide bundled solutions to our clients, these traceability systems can be seamlessly extended through pipeline construction and commissioning.

Supplier Audits and Surveys
Moody International’s auditing services provide independent evaluation of a supplier’s administrative, operating, manufacturing or quality management system. Certified auditors are available to evaluate a company’s formal management system against accepted national or international standards (such as ISO 9000).
Audits and assessments take on many different scopes depending on the need of the client. Normally, the activities will focus on specific products, processes, systems or even capabilities and capacities of the supplier. This may include, but is not limited to areas such as: quality management; process identification and management; procedure and personnel qualification; environmental management; health and safety; etc.
Audits are frequently performed to ensure that systems, practices, and procedures are defined, documented, controlled and periodically assessed for effectiveness and compliance. Audits are also conducted as pre-award surveys to assess supplier capabilities, capacities and qualifications to meet specific contractual obligations.
Supplier Sourcing / Purchasing Services
Worldwide sourcing, procurement and buying services are available to our clients wishing to broaden their international purchasing horizons. Moody provides assistance with the development of approved supplier lists, preparation of RFQ’s/RFP’s, and compilation of bid evaluations while packaging these activities with traditional services such as supplier assessments, capability/capacity assessments, inspection, expediting, etc., to ensure a totally integrated procurement support process.
Supplier Expediting
On any major procurement, delays in delivery of materials, products or equipment to their final destination can prove to be very expensive. To reduce the potential for such delays, Moody International provides qualified expeditors to actively oversee and when necessary assist suppliers in management of milestones and processes through the supply-chain as necessary to improve the required delivery of any items which may be critical to the procurement schedule.
Upon deployment, Moody’s personnel initiate and undertake the actions necessary to maintain or improve agreed delivery dates. The objective is to manage and/or accelerate progress. Therefore the role of the expeditor is an active one – distinctive from the passive role of reporting supplier progress.
The expeditor will not only verify and report the status of materials and activities relative to the agreed program, but also: actively anticipate possible delays or bottlenecks; advise; assess; and where necessary coax, urge, influence and/or put pressure on the supplier to maintain or improve upon the agreed milestones.
Construction Inspection & Testing
Moody International offers a comprehensive range of construction/project site inspection and testing services. This includes various specialized disciplines, methods and techniques. These services extend from the provision of complete site project teams (undertaking all facets of site inspection, testing and associated technical services) to single individuals undertaking a specific assignment.
Personnel are available in all disciplines including welding, nondestructive testing, mechanical, rotating equipment, paint and/or coatings, electrical, instrumentation, civil, structural, HVAC, and more.
