Moody International Co-Sponsored Seminar in Beijing
with British Retail Consortium (BRC) for Supplier Certification of Consumer Product
19th Nov. 2007, Moody International co-sponsored a seminar with British Retail Consortium (BRC) in Beijing for Supplier Certification of Consumer Products.
Minister of State for Trade & Investment, Lord Digby Jones presented at this Seminar in Beijing and made a speech about trade between China and United Kingdom.
The seminars in China were run in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou promoting the Chinese version of the BRC's Global Standard for Consumer Products, and were all translated by Moody International.
The rigorously audited Standard enables suppliers to show retailers that they have reached, and continue to maintain, high levels of product safety.
The BRC Global Standard for Consumer Products covers almost everything sold in retailers that is not food. For example DIY and travel goods, electronics, tools and equipment, telecommunications, household items, white goods, furnishings and non-prescription pharmaceuticals.
The Standard is strongly supported by leading UK and International retailers who require suppliers to demonstrate compliance with the BRC Standard before they will buy products from that manufacturer.
This free one day seminar offered companies supplying major UK and international retailers the opportunity to fully understand retailers' obligations to offer safe products to their customers and the requirements that manufacturing companies need to demonstrate to ensure they comply. Delegates learnt about the principles, objectives, content and scope of the standards and how the certification process works and what the timeframes for certification are.
Moody International Certification Limited is accredited by United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and recognized by BRC in supplier certification of food, food packaging and consumer products.
