WASHINGTON DC, USA - In November 2006 the American Petroleum Institute (API) Certification Programs Department held their Auditor Summit in Washington, DC for API Q1/ISO Certification Auditors and API Product Licenses Auditors.  This year the theme was "Conducting an Effective, Thorough Technical Audit" and included three and one-half days of specialized training on conducting an audit according to API requirements.  Changes to and audit needs for certain API Specifications such as API 5CT 8th Edition were included.  Subject Experts gave technical presentations in NDE; Welding; Mechanical Testing; Auditing Competency; Validation of Process; Nonconformances; Cross-Cultural Auditing; Process Based Auditing and many more.  These API Auditor Summits are an international experience as evidenced by the global representation just from Moody International alone:  Australia, Azerbaijan, Canada, China, Egypt, England, France, India, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, UAE and USA.
